This Privacy Policy explains how Dribble The Ball (the “App”, “we”, “us”) handles information when you use our mobile game. We built the App to be playable without an account, and we keep data collection to the minimum needed to run the game.

1. Information We Collect

Data stored on your device

• Game progress and statistics — high scores, unlocked items, achievements, session counts.
• Preferences — sound, haptics, difficulty and other in-game settings.
• Custom background images — if you choose a photo or take a picture as a game background, the image is stored locally on your device only. It is never uploaded to us or to any third party.

Data sent to our servers

• Anonymous device identifier — a random identifier (UUID) generated by the App on first launch. It is not your Apple ID, IDFA/advertising identifier, phone number, or hardware serial number, and it cannot be used to identify you personally. It is reset if you delete and reinstall the App.
• Nickname / display name — only if you enter one. Please do not use your real name or any personal information as a nickname; it may be visible to other players on the leaderboard.
• Scores and basic gameplay results — used to build and display leaderboards.
• Basic technical data — app version, device model and operating system version, used for compatibility and troubleshooting.

Data you send us voluntarily

• Support requests — if you contact us through the support form or by email, we receive the email address, subject and message you provide, so we can reply to you.

2. What We Do Not Collect

• We do not collect your real name, postal address, phone number, or date of birth.
• We do not collect precise or background location data.
• We do not access your contacts, calendar, microphone, health data, or files outside the images you explicitly select.
• We do not use third-party advertising networks and we do not build advertising profiles.
• We do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites, and we do not use the Apple advertising identifier (IDFA).

3. Camera and Photo Library

The App asks for camera and photo library access only when you decide to set a custom game background or save a screenshot. Access is used exclusively for that purpose, at the moment you request it. Selected or captured images remain on your device and are never transmitted to our servers.

You can grant or revoke these permissions at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Camera / Photos. Declining them does not prevent you from playing the game.

4. How We Use the Information

• To run the core gameplay and save your progress and settings.
• To operate leaderboards and compare scores between players.
• To detect and fix crashes, bugs and performance issues.
• To understand, in aggregate, how the game is used so we can improve it.
• To respond to your support requests.

We do not use your data for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

5. Legal Bases for Processing (EEA/UK Users)

• Performance of a contract — providing the game and its features, including leaderboards.
• Legitimate interests — keeping the App secure, stable and free from abuse, and improving it.
• Consent — device permissions such as camera and photo library access, which you can withdraw at any time in iOS Settings.

6. Service Providers

We use a limited number of service providers to operate the App. They process data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes:

• Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore) — hosting of leaderboard entries and game configuration. See the Firebase Privacy and Security information and the Google Privacy Policy.
• Apple — distribution of the App through the App Store. Apple may provide us with aggregated, anonymous statistics about downloads and crashes. See the Apple Privacy Policy.

We never sell, rent or trade your data, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.

7. International Transfers

Our service providers may store and process data on servers located outside your country, including in the United States. Where required, such transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

8. Data Retention

Data stored on your device is kept until you delete it in the App or uninstall the App. Leaderboard entries are kept for as long as the leaderboard is active or until you ask us to remove them. Support correspondence is kept for up to 24 months after your request is resolved.

9. Your Rights and Choices

• Delete local data — reset your progress in the App’s settings, or uninstall the App to remove all locally stored data.
• Access, correction, deletion — you may ask us to access, correct or delete data associated with your device identifier or leaderboard entry.
• Objection and restriction — you may object to or ask us to restrict certain processing based on our legitimate interests.
• Complaint — you may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Depending on where you live, additional rights may apply (for example under the GDPR or the CCPA/CPRA). We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by California law. To exercise any right, contact us using the details below; we respond within 30 days.

10. Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

11. Security

Data transmitted between the App and our service providers is protected in transit using industry-standard encryption (TLS). We limit access to data to what is necessary to operate the game. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where the changes are significant, provide a more prominent notice. Continuing to use the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
